For a tour of my blog –

To browse my recipes, you can click on a category at the top of the page.  For example, the “What’s For Dinner?” tab has my main course recipes, the “Breakfast” tab has my breakfast recipes, etc.  If you would prefer to not limit your perusing by category, you can click through by month on the right-hand side of the page.

I have many friends with food allergies, or with babies with food allergies, so I tag allergy information in each recipe.  There will be tags that indicate whether a recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, etc.  I don’t eat dairy, except for the occasional goat cheese, so the recipes will generally always be dairy-free, but I do still tag that information.

A little bit about me and my blog –

I love experimenting with new recipes, cooking, and of course, eating.  I love whole real food.  I love making foods from single ingredients so I know exactly what I am eating.  I love getting away from the food industry through cooking, buying local, and attempting to garden.  Real food is amazing and delicious and I am excited to share my experiments with others!

I don’t follow one particular method of eating.  I do not eat dairy from cows (I’m allergic), but I otherwise eat just about anything, in moderation.  I love paleo recipes, but do not follow paleo strictly.  I like vegan recipes since they are dairy-free, but I definitely eat meat.  If something is a whole real food, I’m pretty much game to eat it!

I like to have fun with cooking and don’t worry about dishes turning out perfectly.  I went to a cooking demonstration once where the chef said multiple times, “Just have fun with it.”  I like that motto for cooking!  Just have fun with it!

I am an attorney, army wife, and mother of a 6-month-old baby so I definitely strive for healthy and delicious recipes that are also easy to put together.  I love the crockpot since I can make everything in advance.  Although I love easy, big-dish meals that are great for leftovers, I also love the occasional more elegant weekend meal.
