One of my friends recently shared this recipe with me as an alternative to lactation cookies. Since lactation cookies involve ingredients I either can’t (butter) or prefer not to (sugar) eat, I am so thankful to her for sharing this recipe with me. This makes for a healthy smoothie so feel free to enjoy even if you are not a nursing mom.
1 cup almond milk
1 scoop almond butter
1 spoonful flax meal
1 spoonful brewer’s yeast
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
This is a thick smoothie! If you prefer a thinner smoothie, feel free to leave the oats out and have a bowl of oatmeal with your smoothie instead 🙂
